Tom Franklin, President
Tom Franklin is the President, Founder, and Co-Owner of First Call Services, Inc. Tom has more than 26 years of experience in the field with expertise in Moisture Assessments, Building Diagnostics, and Residential Central Air Conditioning System Design. He received his training at RETS in Fort Lauderdale, where he met Gerry Coleman, the Vice President of First Call Services.
Tom built his career starting first as a helper and progressing to a technician and foreman for residential air conditioning companies. He served as a Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Foreman for residential air companies. Prior to founding First Call Services, Tom served as the Facilities Manager for a project with over two million square feet of space and 150 employees.
Tom holds the following degrees and certificates:
- Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University
- Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University
- AA in Mechanical Engineering from Palm Beach Community College
- AA in Electronics from Broward Community College
- Florida State Certified Class “A” Air Conditioning Contractor
- Certified HVAC Hygienist
- Certified in Mold Loss Prevention
- Certified Instructor by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) to teach Residential Air Conditioning Design
- Continuing Education on Building Science from the Florida Solar Energy Center (Fsec)
Tom and First Call Services have a vested interest in the community. First Call Services offers services to charitable organizations and the Greater Pompano Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, Tom is an avid reader and cook. He enjoys golf, astronomy, and chess.
