Just read an A/C tip in the newspaper, about programmable thermostats and how they can save you money. That’s one of those could be true, but does not have to be things. There are thousands of different thermostats out there that can do everything from turning on you’re A/C to running everything in your house. The energy savings from a programmable thermostat comes from its ability to set up or set back your desired temperature. If the entire house has a routine like, everybody leaves the house at 8am and returns at 5pm, them programmable thermostats make since. If people are in and out all day (think Kids) then programmable thermostats won’t do you much good. If you are still trying to figure out how to use your phone, you may want to re-think a programmable thermostat. In my day it was the blinking 12.
